John Alastair

John has recently finished a two year run as one of The Dads in the smash hit musical Mamma Mia! in London's West End. He has also played the lead in a Dutch TV short film, Three Months, and done numerous film projects for HM Revenue & Customs.

On stage, John has played Gulliver in Gulliver's Travels (Secombe Theatre, Sutton), the Giant in Jack and the Beanstalk (Eastbourne Theatre), the Ringmaster in Barnum (Devonshire Park Theatre) and the Geoffrey Chaucer character in a new play based on The Canterbury Tales (Palace Theatre, Watford).

John trained as an actor at The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art after spending nearly 12 years as a professional fire-fighter. He is also an accomplished close-up magician and children's entertainer.
